Marriage Not Dating: Episodes 1-2 » Dramabeans Korean Drama Recaps

He’s so determined to keep his fortress of solitude but admitting his feelings is already a large stride towards the right direction. This drama has been such a wonderful surprise and I’m so glad I was introduced to it because it’s been a while since I’ve been so obsessed. He’s bothered when Jang-mi says it’s delicious, and then when she spoon-feeds Ki-tae to make him try it, it’s Yeo-reum’s turn to be miffed. Ki-tae sighs that he feels bad about the samgetang—he doesn’t deserve to be treated so well by her parents. I don’t think he wanted to die at all despite provoking Hyun Soo to kill him many times.

Gi Tae, having watched all this with, what I can only describe as a worried expression, finally steps out of his car and looks at her with sympathy. This drama is really making me feel giggly and giddy with happiness. And I’m so glad that they are keeping up with the kisses and skinship. I totally agree with your comments about how deft the writing is and how it really makes the characters seem fresh and real.

Jeong Jin Woon (2AM) (

You’re a jerk, but at least you’re a good man! Just as Hoon Dong tells Gi Tae that Jang Mi won’t ever show up again, we have a very drunk Jang Mi stumbling through his doors. She downs a beer right in front of the boys, who seem to be breaking a sweat, and now having some (more) liquid courage running through her, she chases Hoon Dong down with the glass bottle in her hand. Everyone else just watches the show that’s taking place with amusement.

And Ki-tae isn’t just an irrational jerk—he’s brutally honest, but he knows when to recognize someone’s sincerity and when to apologize for his assumptions. The smart-mouthed wit goes a long way in making his demeanor less jerky, since half the time I’m laughing at the comeback he’s got whipped up, and not thinking that it’s rude (even though it often is). And most of all, I like that he often doesn’t get his way, despite all his blustering about knowing exactly how to work people. I’m thinking that KT actually has a lot to work thru and to learn when it comes to love, coming fr that family he has. His dad is one shitty bastard, and his mom is rather dysfunctional as a person, and a mom. I feel sorry for him, and am happy that he is opening up under JM’s influence.

I really wish he didn’t get shot, the amnesia trope drives me crazy. But since they went there, I’m glad it wasn’t some miracle ending. This poor couple’s life is so damn hard omg. This was an amazing show with great performances, esp from the main 4. Moo Jin turned out to be so funny and such a good friend to DHS. Since many of you already discussed it well, and I already mentioned that LJG is my ultimate oppa now, Cha Jiwon has set the bar for the ultimate FL for me.

Bad Beauty (

This tense confrontation is witnessed by Jang-mi and Yeo-reum, and also by Aunt Mi-jung who is crouched out of sight. Jang-mi spots her, and remembers that Ki-tae’s mother will force him to get married to the woman of her choosing if she can prove that his relationship with Jang-mi is fake. Looking back on the manipulation tactics of his mother and Se-ah, Jang-mi suddenly understands why Ki-tae is so opposed to marriage. But it’s a stranger, and the woman gets up to deliver the camera’s memory card to Se-ah, who is standing right behind Ki-tae. She tells Ki-tae that she thought some hard evidence would help her case for a baby, and he growls that she hasn’t changed at all. Ki-tae sits in his office and thinks over Se-ah’s baby ultimatum, and it says a lot about how much he loves his house that he’s actually considering this insanity.

That’s why it was very touching when Seonghun finally called Chairman Kang, grandfather, when they went fishing in ep12. He never really referred to him (or Taemoo) as family. Also, Kim Se-jeong singing the ED for the final episode was just, chef’s kiss. That and the proposal did a fair bit to salvage the final episode from being a complete failure. Fun ride, I enjoyed it a lot more than I expected to. It didn’t stick the landing for the last episode, managing to be just “okay”, but I had a fun ride nontheless.

HD pointed out that being “cool” is the most important thing. I think he cares about her more than we think. He is always trying to protect her…in his own way. Pretty boy is really fun to look at and he’s so sweet….but I don’t think his heart is fully there. Seriously, the girl is a sobbing mess and he knows why but he yells at her.

Don’t mention the way she adoringly looks at her family whenever Eunha and Hyeonsu bonds, it’s totally heart melting. They’re really so convincing as a family. I know this is their second drama together but I want to see LJG and MCW again in the future. I may be in the minority but I actually feel 12 eps was good for this drama. Most of the situations were resolved in good time and nothing felt seriously draggy (minus the last two eps).

Han Groo (

She spends the next few hours stumbling around drunk, insisting on finding something to bring to his parents. They run out of time and he shoves her into the car, insisting that she doesn’t need to change. That’s how she ends up at his parents’ house still drunk, where Mom receives her coldly and Dad looks her up and down with lascivious eyes. It’s now five hours before the inciting https://www.legitdatingsites.com/ incident, and Jang-mi stuffs her face with food while arguing that meeting the parents is still a bit much. But he points out that she doesn’t love him, so there’s no need to look good or say the right things. Ki-tae follows her out of the club and says he’ll help her get revenge—he’ll make it so that Hoon-dong falls in love with her, so she can kick him to the curb.

I also remember my first thoughts of the kissing scene from EP1 – I thought ‘of course I’d be kissing my wife everyday like that if she were that beautiful’. Now, with the last episode, I think to myself that of course I’d kiss my wife everyday like that if she loved me like CJW loved DHS, a person who knows who you truly are, accepts all you fucked-upedness. LJG’s acting is phenomenal, and MCW has become a favorite of mine and this is the first drama I’ve watched with them as the cast. This show has also pushed me to never settle with anyone less than a Cha ji won, someone who loves you wholeheartedly for who you are but never trusts blindly, a perfect combination. So halfway through the drama, I turned to reddit and I am so glad I did! I’m so happy I got to enjoy the drama with all of you and share sentiments on the various “best” parts and discussions on the mysteries and less savory bits.

Feelings just matter more when it comes to relationships. Anyone noticed how he insisted Se Ah and Gi Tae should become a couple and that Jang Mi should break up with Gi Tae, but he didn’t want to be the bad guy to do anything about it? Poor wife, she really is a pushover where he’s concerned. She agreed to be the bad guy, but I guess it’s also because it aligns with her own feelings and plans.

She is definitely not the one dimensional second lead whom you want to bitch slap nor is she someone with no feelings for GT. I hope the story shows her development for the better too along with our leads. I don’t know if it’s the character itself or its the acting but something about her is really annoying me. oh well, it’s not like she’s that important to the main couple anyway.
